Twenty years in the machine

I’m Cole Pearson, a Senior Software Engineer and Full Stack / Platform Engineer. For more than twenty years I’ve worked across application architecture, relational data, integrations, build systems, infrastructure, releases, and the long production tail after software meets real users.

I started at Wolters Kluwer in technical support and QA, then moved through application development, build and release engineering, virtualization, SharePoint, infrastructure, and customer-facing web applications. That progression taught me to see software as a whole system: source, build, environment, data, delivery, and support.

At OTR Wheel Engineering, I led web and e-commerce work while building database-driven application systems, including a product-fitment tool spanning hundreds of thousands of equipment, part, tire, and product relationships. At JRP—and later demandDrive after its acquisition—I owned full-lifecycle development across a portfolio of more than 250 manufacturing clients: discovery, architecture, applications, internal tools, reporting and data workflows, integrations, hosting, deployment, and production support.

Today at Nursing CE Central, I work on business-critical customer, learning, licensing, certification, reporting, CRM, regulatory, and data systems used by more than 611,000 nurses. The team is lean, the datasets are not, and reliable end-to-end ownership matters.

Outside that work, I keep building: Signalbox in native C, PLEASE REWIND in Godot 4, TamaMedics for open-source preservation and research, and client systems through Pixel & Stack. This site is the public terminal for all of it—professional enough to explain what I do, personal enough to admit there are probably loose screws on the desk.
