Curiosity with a toolkit

I’m Cole Pearson, a full-stack developer and open-source tinkerer. I like useful software, understandable systems, and projects that make me learn three unexpected things before lunch.

My work crosses the boundary between the screen and the workbench: websites and applications, firmware research, hardware preservation, game development, and reverse engineering. Sometimes the goal is a polished tool. Sometimes it’s simply figuring out what an undocumented chip is doing.

This site is my home base for that work—professional enough to explain what I do, personal enough to admit there are probably loose screws on the desk.
